Ace Hardware stores are giving customers – and communities – more than just helpful advice
Giving back is just as important as stocking the shelves with power tools and paint
“Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks” isn’t just a clever jingle and advertising slogan. It is the backbone of every one of the more than 4,600 independently owned Ace Hardware stores in all 50 states and 60 countries. In fact, customers agree and, last year, ranked Ace Hardware stores “Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Major Home Improvement Retailers” according to J.D. Power and Associates.
This helpful service doesn’t end at the checkout counter. Outside hardware store walls, Ace owners and employees are actively involved in the communities in which they serve and, in many cases, reside.
Through local fundraising and national events such as Ace’s Tour de Kids bike ride, the Ace Hardware Foundation raises more than $3 million annually for the Children’s Miracle Network, which generates funds and awareness for the more than 17 million sick and injured children who are cared for each year by its 170 affiliated hospitals across the country, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
Many times, Ace retailers and store associates will apply their home improvement skills and expertise to renovating official Little League® Baseball and Softball fields through the “Fields for the Future” program, or to helping local organizations that provide a helpful service to their community through Ace’s “New Faces for Helpful Places” program.
